... and now I'm flying

Yes, this is it. I've started my life as an Air Hostess, with my first 'real' trip being over. And what a fantastic trip.
Amman. 4 days, great crew, great hotel.

Flew out on the 1st day, fully booked and very busy flight which I must say I enjoyed tremendously, and wasn't nearly as nervous as I'd anticipated, as everything seemed to click once I was on-board and the passengers started to board.
Safety demo, take-off, drinks, dinner, duty-free. It all seemed to pass by in an instant, and 4hrs and 25mins after taking off from Heathrow we landed at Amman's Queen Alia Int'l Airport.

Days 2 and 3 we had free to do whatever we fancied, which included going to the fantastic gym at the hotel, walk around town and get soaking wet discovering the ancient Roman Ampphitheatre in the centre of Amman, getting some lovely spices, having dinner with the crew and many more things.

The InterContinental Jordan is amazing and ever so luxurious, a perfect place to get rest for the nearly 6 hour flight back to London (due to headwinds).

The flight back was a lot quieter than the outbound, less passengers, larger plane and probably due to the early morning departure most people were just sleeping or lazily watching the inflight entertainment.

Having said that the InterContinental Jordan is that perfect place to rest, I wasn't rested enough I guess, as on coming home I managed to sleep a whole 17hrs... it will take some time to get used to this way of life.
Yes, way of life, as being a Flight Attendant isn't just a career/job change, it's a change of lifestyle. Having to wake up at the weirdest hours downroute and jetting through different time-zones in a matter of days is sure as hell going to change one's life, and in my case, I hope it's going to change it for the better.

Anyhow, tomorrow is another working day, this time Tehran, yes, in Iran for a four day trip. Looking forward to that immensely...
