Crumpets. Imagine a really thick pancake you're frying on a pan, lots of holes in it, all looking a bit gooey. Ok. Then imagine freezing the concoction in that state, and leaving it 1cm thick. That's what a crumpet looks like (for those of you not so familiar with the wonders of the British culinary world!). Maybe a cross between an American pancake and a potato cake or something like that.
Anyhow.
Crumpets are this week's obsession in pallpall-land.
A very versatile food, crumpets are. They can be eaten simply with butter (which melts very quickly on a proper hot crumpet), or then topped with ham, cottage cheese and honey mustard for a perfect afternoon snack.
You see, not all coming out of an English kitchen has to be vile!

Viva Forever.
Do you remember the Spice Girls? Of course you do. And if you're saying "aw, bloody awful they were", oh please, just admit it, there was at least one song by them you liked, or still like.
Viva Forever, that's the one I like at the moment and features on my iPod's "25 Most Played" this week.

I'm aware that I have a bit of an obsessive personality.
Fun at times, but disastrous at others (a whole tub of Ben & Jerry's in an evening anyone?!).
