Helsinki, Moscow, Zürich, London, Tashkent, Barcelona... and that's only since the start of this month.
Seems like it's never going to stop.
Came back today from the best trip of my flying career (she likes that word, 'flying career').
6 days in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Absolutely brilliant.
Visited Samarkand, discovered the Unibrows, saw the Swan Lake, and much much more.
In Samarkand I climbed the tower of a 600 year old medrassah. According to the policeman that escorted my friend Konstantinos and I up, there were "only" 55 steps, of course not mentioning each step was the eight of 3 'normal' steps.
My thighs are still suffering.
In the Uzbek countryside it is considered 'beautiful' to have 'joined' eyebrows, this fact amused us extremely and not a day went by without mentioning the ubiquitous 'Unibrow Brigade' which can be spotted at every Uzbek Bazar/Market.
Not mentioning all them golden teeth people seem to collect in their mouths (one explanation of the phenomenon is that the gold teeth are used to pay for the person's funeral, which kinda makes sense).
The Swan Lake on Thursday night was absolutely beautiful, performed by a highly respected Russian ballet company visiting Uzbekistan, and performed at the ever so Sovietique Tashkent Opera.
But folks, it's been a long day, yours truly has been awake for over 30 hours... and is about to retire to bed.
Barcelona calling tomorrow with my friend Katie. Promises to be loads of fun.
I shall leave you with the ever so hillarious Pam Ann, which makes endless fun of my profession, enjoy:
