Well, I know it's been a while.

Anyhow.

Just done two long trips, Amman and Baku and used the 3 days in between to visit my family in Moscow... sure this month's been busy and keeps getting busier.
Today on a (single) day off before heading to Almaty for 5 days.
The day after I come back from there I'm off on holiday, again with the family, to Orlando, Florida!
Well, that is, if I don't get stranded somewhere midway.

As she's decided to go there using staff-standby tickets getting somewhere as simple as Florida might prove to be a bit more than 'simple'.
At the moment it looks like she's going to have to fly to Toronto first, then from there on to Orlando.
As everything it's bound to be an adventure.

Ever since I became a flight attendant I've had people ask me if the job was like it's portrayed in the series "Mile High". As I'd never seen these series I just answered 'yeah sure' or just 'don't think so'...
Now that I've seen Mile High, I can say it's nothing like it!

As I think I should go and watch some more of it only to write down a few things us REAL flight attendants do and don't do as opposed to those freaks dressed in turquoise, I will compile a list and dedicate my next post entirely to Mile High.

Happy flying all.

I was well and truly happy, but not surprised, to find out the fabulous but controversial Silvía Nótt (Silvia Night) was selected to represent Iceland in this year's Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Athens at some point in May.

I personally love her, and it's a shame most of her stuff can't be translated into English properly as they lose their meaning all too terribly.
I have however made an honest try to force her upon my housemates and other friends, but sadly none of them seem to get her sheer brilliance, except for Konstantinos who looks beyond the language barrier to see how funny she is, if only for he faces she pulls!

Must say though, I am a fan of the Eurovision, the month of May just wouldn't be the same without it, but I won't start just yet, it's only just passed into March.

I'm also a fan of:
Helsinki, Lebanese nuts, Vanilla candles, Kyrgyz wool slippers, Hyatt hotels and Patchi chocolate.

What are you a fan of?
