Christmas come early?

Just been shopping in Uxbridge. Wherever one walks in, it's like we're already in December, alas, no.
It's not even October, and already they're selling things fro Christmas, whether it's Boots, Woolworths, M&S or Sainsburys. All have some sort of Xmas related stuff on sale.
Had to laugh outloud when I spotted the Santa chocolate cake at Sainsbury's, with the expiry date of Oct 8th!
My opinion on all of this: absolutely ridiculous.


Miss World 2006

As we happen to have cable in this house we're able to watch this ridiculous contest on the "Challenge Channel".
The "Vote for Me" bit is showing now showcasting the girls from Southern Europe (incl. Lebanon and Israel). Even though I don't expect everyone in the world to speak the English language, those girls are exceptionally bad at it, considering most are between 17 and 22. Such a pain listening to them.

A few points I picked up on:
- they all say they love Poland and the people there
- Miss Italy loves cleaning (wtf?)
- Miss Montenegro is a tabletennis champion

One might ask, what do those few points all have in common.
I'll enlighten you:
What a load of old Sh#t!

And one other thing.
It might just be me, but most of them are, how shall I put it, not that pretty!

The "talent" bit is next, I wonder if we'll see Miss Italy brandish her broom and duster?
